Lisa nodded, "That makes sense," she said softly. "It's understandable for people to behave that way." She settled down back in her seat, watching as the class continued their lesson. Her mind was on the previous conversation and she wondered briefly what her first love would be like. Hopefully not like Medea's, she thought to herself with a sigh. (OOC: Thanks, but I think i've got it now. Sorry for misunderstanding )

"Professor, what happened to the golden fleece? Did Medea take it with her when she fled? Or was it left with Jason?"

"The legend is especially unclear on what happened to the Golden Fleece because it held such great temptations. However, I have done some extensive research in the history texts, and one of them does say that Medea took it with her... but no further information is provided on the whereabouts of the Golden Fleece. Another interesting point is that you'll find that the powers of the Golden Fleece are never accurately described... they were purposely left out to further protect those who would not resist the temptation."
"The Ancients were wise, Ms. Ollivander. And often in subtle ways, that deserve appreciation." Professor Ethelion smiled at her. "It was an excellent question. Curiosity is precisely what's needed in history and in life. 10 points for Ravenclaw"

"Excuse me, Professor," Keaira said as she raised her hand, "but isn't it possible that leaving the Fleece's powers out of the legend would make people more curious? That is, more likely to go after it? If no one really knows what it's capable of, they might anticipate extraordinary powers and seek it at great cost."

"Perhaps, or perhaps there would be those who would deem that the Golden Fleece was just a legend since no physical evidence exists to ever prove that there was such an object. That is after all what the story had been masqueraded as for thousands of years."

"Yes, that's true, but I was thinking of the legend of the Philosopher's Stone—after all, it was merely a legend until He Who Must Not Be Named tried to find it. From what I've heard, things got rather dangerous for quite a few people around that time. Surely someone would be desperate enough to try to find the Fleece, and they would be powerful and probably dangerous. I mean, fewer people would go after it, as it's only a myth, but the few who would I'm sure would be very strong and maybe harmful to the wizarding world." Keaira paused for a thoughtful moment. "The chance is small, I suppose, but has the potential to be extremely dangerous, even lethal to many people."

Ashlee listened to the students talk, she stared at the front of the room and started to day dreaming. She started fidiling with her quill.

"True, five to Gryffindor, Ms. Liath. However, it is to be hoped that none of you, us really, turn into a person such as the Dark Lord. In any case, class is over. If you have any further questions, feel free to ask me either after class or in my office. You will find your second assignment posted on the door of my office when I assign it. Enjoy the rest of your day. " OOC: Look for new thread, Assignment Two
