[DADA] T1: Lesson 4 - Expelliarmus

[Lisa Turpin]

Lisa sighed, watching the two former friends with regret in her eyes. Glancing at Fin, she sent him a sort of half-smile, before looking back at the professor.

[Prof Octavious Everritt]

"Are you ready, Helia?"

[Helia Ollivander]

"Yes professor," she said, hoping that this time she would actually be able to cast the spell instead of being interupted by the spaztic oubursts from random people in the room. When it seemed that the class had finally settled down she flicked her wand and said, "Expelliarmus!"

[Jerred Boneman]

Jerred sat down in his chair, miserably after losing 10 points. He wanted to get them back, but wanted to know if he would get a chance to attack Professor Addis.

[Prof Octavious Everritt]

Helia launched the spell at him, and he held out his own wand. Leigh smiled, then muttered something and and the spell hit his wand, but changed from it's dull green colour to a red colour. The spell turned and was sent to the ceiling, exploding in minor sparks.

[Draco Malfoy]

Draco glanced at the ceiling, his eyebrows arched gracefully and a bored expression on his face.

"Was that supposed to impress us?" He asked innocently, looking back at the professor, a small smirk on his face.

[Prof Octavious Everritt]

"Would you rather me repell the spell at your face Malfoy, covering you is grevious burns that would never heal? Or would you like me to repell the spell at you as a cute little bunny?" Leigh said, "The counterspell to this charm is quite unique, very much like the Riddikulus charm to use on a Boggard."

[Draco Malfoy]

Draco smirked. "Just because I don't find your lesson as brilliant as you might think it is, Professor," He said sweetly, "Doesn't mean you have to threaten me."

He glanced at Addis' wand with a mocking smile.

[Prof Octavious Everritt]

"It wasn't a threat, just a way of knowing where to aim the spell and what to change it into as that is what the counterspell will do." Leigh explained to Malfoy. "Now, Draco, would you like to have a go? 10 Points for just participating, another 5 if you succeed. Sound good? Helia, thank you, 10 Points to Ravenclaw."

[Jerred Boneman]

"Hey, Malfoy," Jerred whispered. "Learn to stop challenging the teachers otherwise we'll lose all our points!"

[Prof Octavious Everritt]

"Well, Mr Malfoy?" Leigh asked, waiting for a response from the Slytherin 5th Year.

[Draco Malfoy]

Draco looked at Jerred with a roll of his eyes, brushing his smooth robes before standing up elegantly. "Right, Bonehead. In case you didn't notice, he offered us points, didn't take them away. Not to mention, I remember you losing ten points earlier." He finished with a glare.

Then he walked to the front of the room, gathering his wand and looking at Addis with a smirk. "Alright, Professor."

[Prof Octavious Everritt]

Leigh noted the tone in Draco's voice. He sneered slightly, then knew where he was going to rebound the charm to. "Alright, Malfoy, execute the spell so we shall begin. Thank you agreeing with me. 10 Points to Slytherin." Leigh said.

[Draco Malfoy]

Draco sent a smug look over at Boneman, before looking back at Addis with a smirk. Holding out his wand, he said, in a clear, strong voice,

"Expelliarmus!"

[Prof Octavious Everritt]

Leigh saw the spell come at him, then muttered the counterspell and flicked with his wand, returning it back at Malfoy, but not as a red spark, but as a globule of blue slime.
