Girty stopped jumping and turned to look at Grace. "Talk? Now why would you want to do that?" She giggled but was waiting for an answer from Grace.

Grace looked away from the fighting couple and looked at Girty with her stormy eyes. "I-" she began, gulping loudly and continuing "-I don't know how to tell you Girt but I think something is very very wrong with Father." She lifted her hands and hugged her arms. "I don't know why but I feel it in my gut. It says ... Father's dying..."

Girty raised her eyebrow and looked and Grace. "Dying?" She looked sadly at Grace. "In my opinion you can never fight against a gut felling i mean just before a race..." She broke off with her mouth still open, she was just about to go off on a tangent. "Is there anything i can do to help?"

Grace shook her head, eyes closed, and mumbled, "I don't know what to do myself."

Girty bit her lip in worry and also to stop her bursting out in song. "Well i think that we can only let time pass and see what troubles it brings." She walked over towards Grace and looked her in the eye. "Remember you do have to face anything alone."

Grace nodded. I know, she thought. She looked at the ground and spoke softly, "I was thinking about going to visit him during the holidays." She looked up at Girty, the twinkle in her eye, gone, "will you come with me?"

Grace looked at Girty through stormy eyes and smiled. She too remembered their conversation. She nodded slightly and added, "we'll need a body guard though." She giggled at the thought of arriving at a muggle hospital with a whole troop of witches and wizards.

Girty giggled. "No we will not. i will steal my Dads doctors badge thing and we can run around and pretend to be doctors." Girty laughed and linked arms with Grace and her voice became serious. "I'm sure everything will be fine."

Girty nodded and laughed. "The summer has come so quickly. And I'm sure will pass by just as fast." She looked around at the other paintings not sure if to continue with the topic about Graces dad.

Grace smiled at Girty but noticed, too, her reluctance (if you could describe it as such). She chased the thoughts of her father away and smiled at Girty. "Have you written to your parent and asked if I can stay for a bit, during the summer?"

Girty was surprised by the question, but answered it to her best ability. "Yes... of course I have other wise i would not have brought it up." Girty looked around trying to avoid eye contact. She had not mastered lying just yet. The truth was that no she had forgot to ask. It had been brought up and lightly agreed on so it was a complete lie.

"Oh, great!" Grace said with a sigh of relief. "I was worried you hadn't, but it's good to know that you have. So, I'm so relieved!"

Girty nodded bitting her lip. "There looking forward to meeting you. I never shut up about you or Bog." Girty giggled but a funny guilt feeling was building up inside she tried to push it aside but it was there, eating away at her.
