"Er, well... there's nothing wrong with it as a couch, per se. The problem is that is used to be a book -- a very old and completly irreplaceable book, for that matter, before that bloody healing woman got to it."

Grace now frowned at the professor. "What was a healing woman doing with the couch? I mean book?" she asked curiosity taking hold.

Algernon sat back down on the couch, covering his hands with his eyes. "She spilled a rediculous potion on it... first it was a loaf of french bread--" He gave Grace a warning look, hoping she wouldnt laugh-- "And then this couch."

Grace stared in amazement. "Really!" she exclaimed, "and what was she doing with rediculous potion? and so near a priceless artifact?"

Algernon scowled. "Well, she makes the stupid potions, as far as I can tell... and, well, when she turned it into bread I think she was trying to seduce me!"

Grace's eyes went wide and her jaw dropped. "Seduce you, sir?" she asked.

He nodded at Grace, looking perfectly scandalized. "Yes, I believe so... she was leaning over me, with her, er... her... brassire in my face, and I believe the potion just.. spilt..."

Grace stared at the professor, "Well, I ... uh ..." she stuttered, "I ... uh don't quite know what to say! Um, why would she want to do that?"

Algernon shook his head sadly. "I think it must be my incredible good looks... I can't think of any other reason, Im afraid. Can you?"

Grace was trying her hardest to swallow her laughter. "No," she managed, "nothing comes to mind." might have been his modesty! she thought, a smile crawling onto her face.

"So there you have it... the trouble is, that while it may have been a rediculous potion, it also seems to, well... to have been a very good potion. So I'm having trouble reversing the effects..."

Grace nodded. "How would one normally reverse it?" she asked, "a potion or charm?"

"Er... Well..." Algernon ran a hand through his hair, somewhat embaressed. "Well, this isn't really my area of expertise... that's why I was reading the book." He gestured toward the book he had been reading when she arrived. "But it hasn't been helping very much... all I've managed to do was turn the couch a rather ugly shade of pink on the underside."

Grace nodded. "Well..." she said thoughtfully, "I read somewhere, or at least I think I did, that ridiculous potions are reversed by ... by ... " she frowned at tapped her lip with her index finger, "oh, garsh! I can remember. I'm sure Professor Wigglyfish would know."

Algernon nodded. "Yes, I'd thought about going to her... but honestly, I'm a bit embaressed about the whole situation."
