[glow=BFFFBF,2,300]Professor Didier walked into class, followed by a large... or rather HUGE covered cage. She set it down just inside the door, the muttered something that made all the chairs and desk in the room scatter. She re-levitated the cage and set it down in the very center of the classroom, and smiled as all the desks and chairs formed a ring around it, "Wonderful, wonderful..." she said quietly to herself. She then walked over to her own chair, and after taking a seat in it, made it levitat over to the cage and landed. "And my class ought be showing up right about... now." she smiled as the door opened in, showing two confused students. "Good afternoon," she said beaming.[/glow]

Lisa sat at her desk, slight confused, before raising her hand. When the professor sent her a friendly smile of acknowledgment, she put her hand down and looked over at Brian's Niffler.
"I don't have a Niffler, professor." She said politely, looking back at Didier. "I hope that isn't a problem?"

[glow=BFFFBF,2,300]"It won't be a problem at all Miss Turpin. The Nifflers are just a project I'm having you students work on over the semester. One moment and I'll get you one," she said before scurrying over to her desk and pulling out one of the slick brown creatures. She handed it to Miss Turpin, "Just keep it alive and don't let it run away, I'm sure you'll be fine."
She then turned to Miss Ollivander, "Ah, I suppose I can start class." she looked at each student appraisingly, then grabbed the sheet which covered the cage and pulled it away to show a creature which looked much like a rhinoceros, though its tip horn was much longer and thinner than most beasts of the like. "This," she said gesturing to the creature, "...is an Erumpet."[/glow]

Ashlee walked into the classroom and sat beside Lisa. She smiled. "Hey." She had her bag on her lap that secured the niffler. At the moment, the little critter was asleep.

Lisa took the Niffler carefully, a nervous look on her face. A pet... Her parents always said she was too irresponsible for a pet. She bit her lip and let her fingers trail across the little creature before turning her attention back to the front of the classroom, just as Ashlee sat down beside her.
"Oh! Ashlee! How've you been?" She said with a smile, before doing a quick double take back to the front of the room. There, in a large cage, something huge dwelled inside. Her eyes widened and she leaned forward in her seat.

[glow=BFFFBF,2,300]"Whoa indeed. Erumpets are unfortunatly going extinct though... Not because of poachers or anything like that, but you see this unusually long tip horn?" she asked as she floated up in her chair and indicated the horn on the tip of the beasts nose, "Within this horn is a lethal poison that once injected into the bloodstream will cause whatever creature was pierced to explode. Now that wouldn't be a problem, because Erumpets are usually very docile creatures, but during mating season the males fight each other to win the females' affection... they fight by head butting each other which usually ends in the dreadful explosions of both Erumpets in the fight." she frowned sadly. "This Erumpet, however, is a female. Not only that, but an expecting female." she said giddily as her chair came back down to rest on the floor. "Through the duration of Meisie's pregnancy I will be performing very light charms on the unborn Erumpet in the hopes of forcing this species to evolve into one that will not go extinct, but will still have all the magical properties of the un-modified Erumpet. Can anyone tell me what a few of those properties are?"[/glow]
