[Cl: As] Term 1: Lesson 1: Astronomy history

[Mandrake Black]

Mandrake set out his star maps, telescopes, and other instruments needed in astronomy. He was at the top of the astronomy tower waiting for the students to arrive. Today in the lesson he was going to show them how to bend the light from stars to use for whatever they could use it for

[Kim Rivers]

Kim ran up the astronomy tower and barged through the door. "Afternoon professor"

[Mandrake Black]

"Hello Kim. The lesson will begin shortly, so feel free to do whatever until a few more people show up."

[Kim Rivers]

She took a seat nearest the window and stared out through the glass. She sat there waiting.

[Carrie McEwan]

Carrie walked up the last few steps of the tower stairs to find that she was one of the first people to arrive in the lesson. Looking around the class she noticed Kim and gave her a smile, before saying, 'Afternoon.' to the Professor.

Kim smiled back at carrie and continued looking out the window

[Mandrake Black]

"we will start now after all." said Mandrake. He pulled out his wand muttered a spell and the solar system appeared in mid air. "These are the planets." he began. He named them each in turn. "Today I will show you how to bend starlight to your whim." He muttered another spell and a replica star appeared. "As you know this is a star. This star is a model of the real star Rigel. Now there is an incantation to get control of the light."

"Spiristalit!" yelled Mandrake and the star went black. Sitting in Mandrakes hand was a ball of light.

"now Kim. Keep in mind this is very dangerous with this small replica star I cannot burn anything. With a real star and a powerful Spirit master he could burn half the wizarding world. Now back on subject. To control the light concentrate hard on the the light. Think of nothing but the light. Then think of what you want it to do or where you want it to go. I will pass it back in forth in my hands." and Mandrake did. He ate the light and a faint glow was showing in his throat.

"Now to stop the light connection just say "Spiritis dom" and the light in Mandrakes throat went out.

"Now you try Kim," and the star regained light, waiting for Kim to try.

[Kim Rivers]

She nodded. She took out her wand and said "Spiristalit" a ball of light appeared in Kims hand. "Whoa" Kim concentrated hard on the light. She decided to just pass it back and forth to her hands. At first it didnt work, but then it started to do what she wanted. She sat there for a little bit passing it back and forth within her hands amazed that she was controlling this ball of light. "Spiritis dom" she said and the light dissapeared. "Did i do that right sir?" she asked still amazed by the ball of light

Carrie watched as Kim seemed to control the starlight. She raised her eyebrows in awe - she hadn't expected Astronomy to have such an interesting content.

[Helia Ollivander]

~Wicked~ thought Helia as she watched Kim playing with starlight. ~Bloody wicked~

[Mandrake Black]

" Wonderful!!!" exclaimed Mandrake. "Now you Carrie, give it a try."

[Jinesh Jobalia]

jinesh saw in awe that kim was playing with light.....it was his dream to conquer light and make it do his bidding. he was waiting for professor to give him permission to do it

Kim sat and watched carrie.. "Professor? could we ever control the stars?" she said with a glint in her eye "Cause id like to think we could one day"

"Try it both of you Griffindors."

[Jinesh Jobalia]

jinesh was thankful of the professor. at last his dream was realising. he cast the spell with pride and thinking of light,"SPIRISTALIT!!". a small glowing star appeared out of nowhere. jinesh thought it was a dream-coming true. he wished the star would go to left side and so it did and wishing it would go towards the right, he made the star to go right. after playing with it a little and feeling satisfied he whispered,"spiritis dom" his face could tell everything. he could see kim grinning at him. he grinned back at her.
