Boggleworth had for a change been minding his own business and wasn't looking for trouble, so of course trouble then found him instead. He had just been taking a quick stroll in the cool breeze then he saw a commotion between a small group of people arguing furiously. He darted in wand hidden away as nirmal he'd use his mout instead of a wand. "THOM!" he thundered "put your wand away this instant!" he ordered full of calm and confidence that he would be obeyed. He stood between Thom and Addis, whirling to face Addis he thundered "can't you see you're hurting him Addis, now back away all of you, and just calm down. Turning back to Thom he reached out to gently push his wand away...

Thom could hear Boggleworth's familiar and reasuring voice, but he was in too much pain to really register it properly. The darkness was throbbing out of his pores weakly, aching and sensitive, seemingly doing nothing more than reminding Thom that it was there. It had no interest in protecting him.
Something pushed on the darkly barrier - it didn't reach his skin, nor his clothes, but something was approaching him. Addis and that light?
Thom shouted out, his bloody hands balling into fists, drilling forward into the air towards his attacker...

Thom's fists came flying towards Boggleworth, but Thom was to be taken by surprise. Boggleworth was quick he grabbed Thom's arms quickly disarming him and saying soothingly in a reassuring voice "come on Thom calm down my friend, tis only me...take a deep breath" He was calm though he wondered quite what was wrong with Thom.

Thom was completely disorientated now. His head spun, his vision was nothing but blackness, and every sound was like a muffled echo. Boggleworth's voice still pulsed through the barrier, thick like tar, heat quivering from it threateningly. He only caught glimpses of things now - the water, the light, the distance, twitching stars that he new no one else could possibly see. His face was calm and apathetic, yet tears streamed down his face.
He dropped to his knees. "Henry, I'm so... pained." he didn't know what to say. Could Boggleworth even hear him? There had to be a way to break what The Dark Figure had bestowed upon him. "Help me." he said hoarsely.

"The name's Boggleworth actually!" laughed Boggleworth relieved Thom was talking. He began to help Thom up then thought why not just use magic? So he levitated Thom saying "you'll be alright my friend don't worry, I'll keep you safe!" he began to walk away back up to the castle gving a quick glare at Addis and then he shouted "you're a ruddy teacher, pardon my language but shouldn't you help pupils, not make them ill?" he shouted sarcastically as he led Thom away up to the Hufflepuff common room.

Thom's limbs went weak and limp as he was gently eased off the ground. He closed his eyes, his mind swimming with dizziness and odd hollowing noises, noises he knew were not really there. "I want to be in the dark..." he mumbled to Boggleworth, knowing a blazing fire would be waiting for them when they got back. "The stars are too strong..." he fell asleep.

Leigh shook his head and looked over at Apronia. "Student's are fools for believing a professor would intentionally harm one of them." Leigh muttered to himself, before nodding at Apronia and left. Shiela clawed her way down to his shoulder as he walked away.

"Boggleworth!" Apronia cried, running after him. "You'd best let me handle this one. I need to speak with him about this spirit in the forest." She could feel the Forest rising in her again, reacting to the hints of dark power about Thom. "Please."

"He is a student of my own house, and I feel nothing but bitterness coming from him." Leigh replied, closing his eyes and surrendering control of the situation to Apronia. "But the forest and it's powers are yours, not mine and this is obviously the work of that dark figure... whomever it is." Leigh said, closing his hand to form a fist as he felt a wave of anger rush over him.

She kept her eyes on Thom, but laid a comforting hand on Leigh's shoulder.
"They are teenagers. Worse, they are teenage wizards. They have temptations that no Muggle child could imagine or cope with. And when they falter, they need us more than ever. A Muggle child makes fairly banal errors. Wizarding children can falter into dark powers and possession. They need our compassion and our help more than anyone. Look at Tom Riddle. He became a formidable force of evil simply because he had no one understanding as a child."

"I know." Leigh replied quietly, remembering his own youth. "It wasn't all that long ago that I was in his shoes, but nothing as bad as what he has done. He's yours to deal with, as I don't think my magic can help out much at all."

Apronia nodded vaguely at Professor Addis and realized that Boggleworth and Thom were gone.
"Ai, diablos." she murmured, and began jogging up to the castle after them.
