Kim ran up the stone steps and into the owlery. She walked over to the black owl her mother had bought her. "Hi Midnight. Need you to deliver this to mum" she said. She opened the letter and re read it, she added on the end, Any news of Claire's whereabouts yet? please reply fast, Love you mum Love Kimberley-Marie she never just signed the end of a letter to her mum with Kim. She'd get a howler back for that. "Your name is not Kim!" It would say "Its Kimberley-Marie! Use you full name Kimberley" That would be embarassing. She tied the letter to Midnights foot and sent him on his way. She watched him go and closed her eyes. "Claire.. Wherever you are hunnie.. Please.. Please be safe" she said. She stood in the owlery watching the bird out of sight

"Oh, hey Princess, fancy seeing you here," Fin said as he entered the room. He had gone to the owlery to mail a letter to his parents over in America to send him some more money, when he ran into Kim.

"Hey Master" she said doing a little bow. "Just sent a letter to mum. What you doing here? Bouncer will you please be quiet?" She said as the puppy was trying to get to an over large tawny. It scratched him with his talons. "Serves you right you over exited thing" She said wiping the blood if the puppys head.

"Bouncer? Hmm, that's a nice name I suppose. Come here Bics," Fin said as he attached his letter to the owl. "Now, take this to mom now, kay?" The owl then fluttered out the window. "Sooooo, where your parents live anyways?" he asked Kim.

She looked at him "I live with my mum in the country, just outside London. My dad's a little bit dead thanks to his fascination and my sister is missing. Mums tryna find her. Dad left and took claire with him. Me and claire and twins. Non identicle though, just more or less the same in everything else. Hurt a lot when she had to go.. But dont worry about it" she told him. "Where'd your parents live?"

Walking into the Owlery, Prof Addis had a letter into his hand. He looked around the Owlery and found a large Barn Owl who flitted down onto his shoulder.
"Take this my mum back home, ok. I know it's a long, long flight, but here's 5 sickles for you." He smiled, then letting the bird go. He watched it fly out of the window, and sail away in the sky, heading south east, knowing where his home was. He turned around and saw 2 students there, Fin and Kim. "Miss Rivers and Mr McFinnigan."
