"Bye" She watched him go then turned to Bouncer. She whisled. "Come on we need to go to the owlery."

As soon as Kim´s last foot left the bridge, two thick tentacles wrapped around the bridge, one on either end. A giant eye examined her from just beneath the surface and the squid pulled. The bridge groaned before giving way with a sharp snap and falling into the water. The squid disappeared with his prize.

Several minutes later, the remains of the wooden bridge floated to the surface, foot-long sections of planks that looked...chewed, twisted and crushed.

The squid watched from below, smiling a cephalopodic smile.

Kim heard the crash and turned around. The bridge was not there. She walked to the edge and looked down "Fantastic! Fantastic.. Now how do i get back?" She looked at the bridge "And that could not just have collapsed.."
