(Q)Trying out the Sleekspeed

[Ron Weasley]

Ron gathered the Sleekspeed in his arms, as though it were a precious artifact or something of the sort, and looked at Helia with a stunned expression. "Really? Are you sure-- I'm rather clumsy..." He said, although he was already mounting the broom.

[Helia Ollivander]

"Why not. I've still got my old broom if anything should happen to this one, but it handles really well. I doubt even you could crash it unless you really tried... and may I suggest you not try to crash it?" she chukled.

Ron grinned, and muttered a quick thanks before kicking off into the air. Instantly, the broom steadied and began to soar, cutting through the air easily. He felt as light as a feather and did a quick lap around the Quidditch Pitch, numerous outbursts of awe escaping his mouth.

"This is brilliant!" He yelled down to the girls, as he soared higher, aligning his body with the broom. "I reckon it must have cost a fortune!"

"Not as much as you'd think." she called back with a chuckle. She wasn't sure if spouting off that a teacher had given it to her would be appropriate, but she was being honest.

Ron did a few more laps, shouting out with glee as he cornered around the golden hoops, before finally tiring and landing on the grass, panting slightly. Grinning, he handed back the broom, somewhat reluctantly, and picked up his cleansweep which seemed heavy and battered in his hand.

Shrugging, his face flushed with the aftereffects of adrenaline, Ron ran a hand through his hair. "That is definitely the most fun I've had since I've gotten here!"

She looked at the broom, "You know what. Keep it. My broom still works fin, and it looks like you've had that one for centuries.." she said with a chuckle, handing the broom back. "Mind if I hang onto your cleansweep though?" she asked, thinking she might be able to upgrade her broom with some of the spare parts from his.

(Halfway through a reply, and dad decides we have to go shopping for mother's birthday gift, which is in two days- haha. Talk about last minute shopping. Cya)

Ron blushed, looking at his old cleansweep with a glare. It was an extremely old broom, always causing him embarrassment- In fact, he suspected it was because of it that he hadn't made the quidditch team!

After hearing Helia's offer, however, his eyes widened and he shook his head, "N-No. I couldn't!" Biting his lip, he knew it'd have been better for her to have it, as she was on a team.

"Thanks for the offer though," He said with a small smile, the tips of his ears reddening.

She shook her head, "Of course you could. All I ever come out here for is some relaxed flying, and whenever there is a game the farthest I ever move is some six feet between goal hoops, so, do you want the broom?" she waved it temptingly in front of him.

Ron glanced at the broom with longing, before offering Helia a small grin, "Brooms and food- Two things I can't say no to." He shook his head, a grateful expression on his face before shuffling his toes against the pitch's lush green grass, his gaze rising slightly to meet helia's. "You're very generous," he said with a smile, accepting the broom with trembling hands. "Thanks a lot, I don't know how I'll ever repay you!"

"Well, someday I'm going to pull a really huge prank that will most likely end up getting me expelled, you can pay me back then by giving me an alibi." she said with a laugh.

Ron's face immediately broke out into a mischievous grin, and he arched his eyebrows just slightly. "A prank, eh? You can count on me- Though, any idea of what you're planning on doing?"

[Helia Ollivander]

"Now that would be telling." she said with a smirk, "You can't be an innocent by-stander if you know my plan, now can you? But rest assured, it will be marvelous." she looked wistfully into space. "Well, I'm off. Got to work out the bugs in my super prank. Later," she picked up Ron's old broom and walked out of the quidditch pitch.

"Should have seen that answer coming," he muttered to himself, grinning as he watched the girl walk away. Sighing with slight disappointment, he quickly remembered the broom in his hand and his grin widened as he tossed his leg over the wood.

"Oh hell, is this ever a nice broom!" He said, looking gratefully back at the Ravenclaw once more.
