Kandler walked down the street sighing slightly as his feet treaded into the cracks of the cobblestone pike. He pushed a hand through his black hair as his gray eyes looked from window to window till he came to a stop at the Three Broomsticks. Kandler shoved the door open and walked to Rosmerta. "Any chance of a firewhiskey?" Rosmerta was amused with him as he tried everytime he came in from the age of 11. "Well Kandler, are you able to drink at home infront of your parents?" Kandler grinned at her. "yes ma'am." Rosmerta laughed. "Nice try." She grabbed a mug and filled it with butterbeer handing it to him. "Try this instead. It's healthier." She ruffled his hair and Kandler laughed giving her a wink before he walked to a nearby empty table and took his seat drinking deeply from the mug.

Lisa stumbled into The Three Broomsticks, sneezing slightly as she did. Pulling off her mittens, she set them onto the counter before smiling slightly at Rosmerta. Not quite in the mood for a butterbeer, and having horrible experiences with coffee, she ordered a tea, before looking around for an empty table.
Just as she was about to sit in a corner, far away from the windows and cluster of students and professors, Lisa caught sight of Kandler. She stood at the counter for a moment, contemplating whether to say a quick hello or not, before finally walked over to him.
"Mind if I join you?"

Lisa smiled back, before settling down in one of the chairs. With a sigh, she lifted her cup to her mouth before taking a tiny sip, squinting as the burning liquid reached her tongue.
"Stressful day?" She asked, looking back up at him.

Lisa nodded, a placid smile still on her face. Silence enveloped them for a few minutes, and she busied herself looking out the window at the bustling students. Lifting her tea closer to her mouth, she turned her attention back to Kandler.
"This place is a nice change from Hogwarts," she started, looking down into the rich brown of her tea. "It's nice to get away, isn't it?" She finished, her gaze still on the swirling, sugary drink in her hands.

Kandler propped his feet up as best he could on another chair as he looked around with a bit of a sigh. He took a large gulp of butterbeer and rubbed his eyes before he looked back at Lisa. "Yeah. It is a rather good bit of a change then the rather gloomy but yet cheerful castle." He laughed slighlty.

Watching him get comfortable, she grinned. She usually wasn't so open with her emotions, but there were few people she trusted at Hogwarts and Kandler had ended up one of them.
She took another shrewd sip of her tea, deciding whether she liked it or not, and glanced back at Kandler, her eyes wondering. Then, gathering her courage, she asked the question that had plagued her for days.
"How long have you been..." She paused, desperately hoping the weak bridge of trust that had developed between them wouldn't be destroyed with the weight of her question. "...Been... Transforming?"
Her fingers gripped her cup more tightly and she stared at him.

He felt his lip twitch slightly at the question but looked at her. "Since I was three." he said softly. "My parents didn't want anyone knowing and they kept it a secret. When I was old enough I was told to keep it a secret and I have until this year." he said softly.

Lisa bit her lip, her gaze drifting to the floor. She stared at the muddy footprints that lead to the number of different tables before letting out a small sigh, thinking of how to respond to the Gryffindor.
"Three." She whispered, feeling a bit of sympathy well up in her chest. Though, she knew that wasn't what he wanted. His pride wanted her to understand, not to feel sorry for him.
Looking back up at him, she let go of her teacup and clasped her hands together. "It wasn't your fault your secret got out..." She said softly, "There wasn't anything you could do."
Then, wringing her hands together, she looked out the window. "And sometimes being able to talk to someone about those types of things really helps." She said quietly, watching her reflection in the glass.

He shook his head a bit. "It's really no help now. The ministry is going to speak with me about what I can do and how i have to take precautions and so on and so forth." Kandler gave a smirk. "Nothing big rather than a big loss of respect and jobs going down the drain!"

Lisa looked back at Kandler, her expression sombre. "It must be difficult, to have such a huge weight on your shoulders all the time. Job-wise, however... If they turn you down for such a silly reason, than it's their loss. Our world is filled with so much magic and so many strange things that it's almost funny how people react to something such as this. Muggles I can see rioting over this... They're not used to it. But wizards? You'd expect better from them."
She shook her head, ending her rant before busying herself with her tea once more.

Kandler nodded and took another draught of his butterbeer. "you would think so but it never come easy even to our kind. But I live with it every day. Sometimes its a monster and it messes with my attitude and everything. Which I tell you now to beware. And sometimes I am just what I hope to be a normal boy."

Lisa nodded, it was only to be assumed that the werewolf inside him sometimes showed itself in his human form, but that was to be expected. "I can't imagine how hard it would be," she said softly, "Though, I can't say any of us is normal. We all have our own problems, and although some problems may be more extreme than others... I think it's safe to say normal doesn't exist in our world." She smiled.
