Helia walked through Hogsmeade, glad for the warm weather after being near frozen the day before. Now most people after having been nearly killed by Lethifolds would have nightmares about them and never get the event out of their minds, but not Halo. No, her thoguhts were stuck on something, but something else entirely. Erich Aubry. Before the fiasco she had been in the library, and was about to find about his schooling days, but what happened after that is surely history by now. Now she was wandering the streets in search of an old bookstore she'd heard talk about. One that specialized in finding and restoring old books. This was what she was looking for now. She walked down a street, then an alley, then a barely noticable footpath until she found it. -Relik's Book Store- read a weather worn, hand made, paint peeling sign. She pushed open the door with the small jingle of a bell. A black Kneazle in the corner hissed, "Oh, quiet will you?" she said in a dead whisper. She didn't know why she'd begun whispering, but something about the shop seemed solemn, and in need of silence. "Aww, dunt mind him. 'Es a bit woun' up. Dunt get many custuhmers no mo'." said an elderly man at the back of the shop, pipe in hand, as he blew smoke rings. "Sum'in I kin 'elp you wif, Miss?" Helia nodded, "Yes I was wondering if you could help me find a book about Eri-" her question was cut off by another jingle of the bell and a Kneazle hiss. Halo turned around to see who'd come in.

Keifer had been walking around Hogsmeade and noticed the bookstore. He quite liked books so he decided to check it out. Noticing the girl from the lake who had been involved in the fighting he gave her a quick smile. He stood in the open doorway now thinking maybe he'd best turn around. She looked like she was in the middle of something. "Uh... hi"

She smiled a bit weakly, she'd been hoping no one would be here, but she was glad it was him. They didn't know each other that well, but hopefully that would mean that if he did figure it out he wouldn't feel compelled to tell on her. She gave a small wave, "Yeah... hi. You're Brently... right? Keifer Brently?" she'd seen him aorund a bit, heard his name in a class or two but still wasn't completly sure. She was so bad with names.

Thom's head jerked up as he heard the faint tinkle of the shop bell. He shifted in his seat achingly, grunting in annoyance as he still found himself charmed to the chair, his hands magically glued to the arms of it. His eyes were red from crying and shouting in frustration, and from the back of the shop, behind the rough faded grey curtain, he strained to listen to who had come in. He was there for he had been caught stealing.
With awkwardness, he dragged the chair closer to the curtain, it's legs scraping loudly on the wood.

Keifer smiled and begrudgingly said "...Yeah... I am." He looked around and wondered what she was doing in here. "So... what are you looking for?" He asked, slightly intruiged. He smiled back at her and gave her a late but small wave.

"Oh, just a history book..." she said airily before her head snapped back around at the sound of chair legs scraping against the floor. She looked at the Shop Keeper, "What was that?" she asked, getting a feeling like someone needed help. The shop keeper shook his head and took a draw from his pipe, "Jus' sum kid makin' trubl fo' me. Ahm keepin' 'im back theh 'til sumbody comes searchin' fer 'im." For some reason she didn't quite understand, Helia decided she'd vouch for whoever it was, "Me! Um, I mean. I've been looking all day for my... cousin. Yep, cousin... Tim. That Tim, always making trouble." "Tim? Kid said 'is name wuz Thom." 'Thom?!' she thought curiously. "That's what I said, Thom. Dear cousin Thom." The shop keeper looked a bit hesitant, then went through the curtain and pulled out the hufflepuff boy. She raised an eyebrow at him, then nodded to the shopkeeper to let him go. "Thom, what did you do this time?" she asked with a faux angry tilt to her voice.

Thom growled angrily as the curtain was flung back. The ugly shop keeper gave him a curlish glare, and without consideration he grabbed the back of the chair and swung it around so that he could drag the Hufflepuff out onto the shop floor. Roughly he spun it back round, and Thom found himself facing Halo, Keifer just behind her.
"Hey!" Thom snapped as the shop keeper let the chair fall, the legs crashing loudly on the wood once more. He watched him walk away with narrowed eyes. He looked at Halo sharply. "Tim?" he snapped. "After everything at the lake - TIM?"

Keifer put his hand over his mouth and laughed. He really wanted to say something but he couldnt through laughing. It was funny in Keifer's opinion. He looked at the shopkeeper then back at Helia and Thom.

"I didn't know it was you back there." she snapped back. "How could I know that you would be the one making trouble for a book shop owner that says he doesn't get many customers?" she rolled her eyes. "Doesn't matter..." she walked back to the shop keeper, "Got any books on a guy called Erich Aubry?" she asked in a low whisper. The man raised an eyebrow at her, "What do ye wan' to know 'bout 'im fer." "History project," she said quickly, "Got the books or not?" she placed five shiny gold galleons on the counter. He smirked, "Awrigh' awrigh', vis way Ma'am." he ushered her over to a section of books on a black bookshelf. He bemused for a moment, then pulled out two ancient looking books, "'Is 'uns a yer book, 'at 'uns a book of ahticuls 'bout 'im." Halo smiled and placed five more galleons in his hand

Thom simply tutted as Halo walked away. As if an after thought, he glanced up at Keifer. "You alright?" he asked casually, as though he weren't still magicked to a chair. "How's your body since the old wand battering?"

Keifer regained his composure and smiled at Thom. "Yeah im alright, a bit battered and bruised... Quite achy and things... Stingy but apart from that im fine. Ill live anyway" he smiled "What about you?"

Thom looked weary at the question. In all truth Thom had not been quite right. Before he had been cheerful and jokey - and most of all kind. Now he just seemed unhappy and short wth everyone he came across. And he hadn't slept in fear of nightmares. Looking up at Keifer he gave a fake smile and nodded. "I'm good." he sighed. "Can you help me up?" he waggled his fingers, though his palms remained glued to the arms.

Keifer smiled and took out his wand. He muttered a spell and hoped it would work. He took Thom's hand and pulled gently...
(your decision if it worked or not)

There was a sucking sound, like plastic being pulled from a wet surface, and Thom's hands poped off the wood cleanly. Leaning forward in his chair, he rubbed his hands together, checking for gluey residue, although there was none. He nodded at Keifer greatfully. "Cheers," he said. "Asides from bugging Halo, what you doing here anyway?" he stood up, and looking over at Halo and the shop keeper, moved out of their line of sight cautiously.

Keifer shrugged "Im not bugging her... I just happened to walk into the shop and she was here.. No bugging nesecary... Must say though... I wanna know what she's doing actually" He said in a matter of fact tone. He looked at Thom "Not a problem... If you were glued to a chair for the rest of your life... who would be there to get into mischeif with?"
