No, good question. Post up your reply in the Assignment One Thread. Share the laughs.
Assignment One is due by the end of the day of Lesson II, not the beginning. So whenever class is resumed and finished. Lates are always accepted. Hehe, my own teachers must be livid by now at my unorthodox methods...
ANNOUNCING THE EARLY BIRD SPECIAL:

Xerxes the IV was a rebel wizard who wanted to conquer Greece the ancient muggle city states. however he was defeated with his king by alexender and palinirus a great wizard. A victory by xerxes would result in the unity of muggle and wizarding forces and then he would have tried to conquer Greece...the muggle city known for its ancient culture...alexender the great would have lost and he would thereby loose Babylon rumored to be the city of the Gods. it would be very effective on the following generations-to-come. we wouldn't find the vast.....can be called the MOST vast culture. the various arts such as writing....scientific inventions,etc..wouldn't exist. it would result in many difficulties for the muggles
[professor as u see i have a habit of putting many periods in sentences...please don't mind it]

If Xerxes the IV conquered Wizards would be known all around the world, we would be rulers of the muggles and worshiped all over the world. We wouldn't have schools in secret and we could use magic outside of school. The Greeks a long time ago would also do the same, our world would be improved in technology, because wizard's and witch's have magic and we have better medicines. We wouldn't be feared just more of loved and respect.

How the world would have changed had evil reigned By Helia Ollivander
Had Xerxes and Darius won the battle they would have continued on to conquer other muggle and wizarding societies which one, would have influenced the dark forces in other countries, most likely giving people like you-know-who ample enough power to continue their reigns of terror. It would would have kept many great inventions from being invented, and most likely many important people wold have been killed, thus keeping other great monuments in history from happening. For all we know, had Xerxes and Darius won we wouldn't even be alive today. One event can change the world.

Ah yes, let us see... well now... 10 points to Jinesh for posting first, 5 to Mr. Chase for second and that wraps up the early bird specials... now...
hmm
Mr. Jobalia's answer is very nice... textbookish, nicely done... Mr. Chase's answer while a bit unorthodox is no less true... nicely done Mr Chase...
AH YES, Ms. Ollivander's answer is extremely coherent, comprehensive and sticks to the question. No wonder she's a Ravenclaw. Yes, indeed, her answer is concise, and thereby loses some of the wonderful details, but paints a magnificent big picture. Well done! regardless of place, for a homework that raises this teacher's hopes for his students, take 5 points for Ravenclaw Ms. Ollivander.

Change the World: Xerxes IV and the Potential World Order Keaira Liath
Had Xerxes IV defeated Alexander and Palinurus, he would have continued conquering all the rest of Greece before no doubt moving outward and attempting to overpower as many cities, states, and nations as he could manage. This would have alerted muggles to the existence of wizards, which would, of course, have had a powerful impact on muggle-wizard relations and likely changed the place of wizardkind in the world. Performing memory charms on all muggles is an unlikely and impractical solution to such a problem, and so wizards and muggles would have had to either work as coalesced communities, or, as is the more likely case, Xerxes IV would make sure that wizards held considerable authority over muggles and remained distinct. Muggle expansion would have been stinted, preventing many inventions and progressions that muggles today take for granted, such as the computer or the electric light. Muggles would likely have attempted and almost certainly failed in rebellion, thus resulting in many deaths and making wizards the dominant species, so to speak. Had wizards not cross bred and diluted their wizard blood with that of muggles, wizardkind today would certainly consist of mutants, malformations, and dysfunctional human beings, or even have died out years ago.

Life As We Know It Ashlee Jade Van Dort
In today's society, you see technology everywhere you look in the Muggle world. It's hard to imagine how life could be without any of those inventions, but at one point in time, there was almost no hope for future technology. Xerxes IV was a highly tempramental wizard who had become obsessed with the want of power. If Alexander and Palinurus had failed to defeat the crazed Xerxes, would life have been the same? Xerxes IV would've gone mad with power and possibly created mass homicides of muggles, even his own wizarding kind! The power would drive him to overpower every major city he could get his hands on.
