Professor Ethelion is sitting quietly at his desk. On the floor, curled up oh his old mat is Angelo, a gray and white furred Siberian husky puppy. The Professor is in deep thought as he watches the events unfolding before him. He had conjured up a scene depicting the battle at Gaugamela, where Eastern wizards had once been involved with prominent muggles. In the cloud of moving pictures, a moving muggle named Alexander the Great was riding his horse straight at one of those powerful Eastern Wizards: Har Halkun.

"Knock, knock."
Startled, Prof. Ethelion turned around as a wizard chopped off the head of a muggle and hurled it at another muggle charging at him, effectively knocking his head off with the sheer force of impact.
"So that's how you get off, eh? Sorry to intrude on such a... private moment," Prof. l'keitha winked. "Shall I go?"

"Oh no, please, stay. You're very welcome. There's Angelo. Funny, he must like you or else he would have barked his head off by now. I was just preparing tomorrow's lesson. The images are garnered from history books, and then mentally played out in my mind. It is that mental picture that is projected on to thin air. Making history come alive is hard work."
Ethelion smiled at her. He waved his left hand and the cloud disappeared. Angelo got up from his mat and padded over to Eithne with an inquiring look. "He is wondering if you would rub him between his ears." Ethelion said.

Scratching the husky between the ears, prof l'keitha laughed. "That's odd, most dogs hate me. They can sense the feline in me, I suppose. But Angelo's a sweety." She looked down at the dog, "We share the same eye color, too."

"Heh, he's certainly a magnet. The feline in you, you say? Cat like? I like all animals, cats and dogs. My as of yet undeclared animagus form is a silver wolf. Not a werewolf, however, since I have control over my transformations. "
Ethelion looked at Eithne's eyes. They were blue...
H caught himself staring, and quickly reached for his mug of tea.
"So... hi. Good day so far?"

"You're an animagus as well?" she replied, suddenly intrigued. "How long have you been turning?"
She walked towards Ethelion, keeping her cool gaze on him, and sat down across from him.

"Oh a couple of years now. But since I only recently arrived in England, I'm still working through the registration process, so no one knows about it yet. After all, Angelo and I get along so well because I can speak his language." He winked at her and met her gaze.

Eithne broke away from his eyes and curled up in the armchair. "Something feels all wrong in the school. I'm no clairvoyant, but I'm sure you sense it too. There are all these things happening all over the grounds, but it feels like it all leads to one thing. Haven't quite figured that bit out yet, but it's all making my head buzz." She sighed. "And the students dont even come to class sometimes! What the hell is wrong with this place?"

"I do know what you feel, Eithne. Despite my interactive displays, no one seems interested. I dont blame them tho, they have had a pretty boring time in the class in the past. In the Eastern monastic tradition, we say that the journey always springs from the source and that we spend our lives returning to it. Is that kinda what you feel happening when you say that it all leads to something?"
Ethelion looked intently at Eithne and at the same time motioned to Angelo to fetch her a mug of tea.
A hour later, with the departure of Prof. L'Keitha, Prof. Ethelion reclined in his chair, thinking on ... certain things of a private nature...

~* SOME DAY LATER *~ lol
Ashlee gently knocked on Professor Ethelion's door. She heard someone inside so she slowly opened the door. "Professor?"

Prof Ethelion was deep in concentration focusing on refining the movie he was about to show in class, when he noticed Ashlee framed in the doorway. He quickly drew a comfy couch for her at the side of his table, while he finished visualizing another sequence.
Having done so, he turned to his student. "Ah, yes, so you received my airplane? I would have sent angelo with a more personable greeting, but he didn't know your scent, so it proved to be impossible."
Angelo perked his ears up at the mention of his name.

Ashlee walked over to the couch gently scratching Agelo's ears on the way over. She sat down and made herself comfortable.
"Yes, I recieved your airplane and it was just fine, you didn't have to send Angelo at all." A.J. giggled. Ashlee looked at Angelo, "Tho he would've cheered me up a bit. He's so adorable."

"Yes," mused Prof. Ethelion, "he does seem to have that effect on people, especially young women." he winked.
"You like dogs?" asked the Professor as he handed her a cup of lemon chamonille tea. For himself, he mixed a martini. He looked at her inquisitively.

Ashlee smiled. "Actually I adore dogs. I would've had one but my Grandmother disaproved of a 'young lady raising a man's pet.'" Ashlee paused as the Professor handed her the tea. "Then again, that's my grandmother for you." Ashlee crossed her legs and placed the tea cup on her knee.

"Your grandmother... *sigh* dogs aren't a man's pet. If anything they are loyal companions and guardians, perfect for a young lady... if you dont mind me asking, what about your parents?" asked Prof. Ethelion cautiously.
