Sitting at an empty table, Draven knew that he should crack open the books and begin the long day of studying, but then glancing at the pile of books in front of him, he pushed them all aside and grabbed a piece of parchment and a quill. "I'll start studying in a little, anyways its to quiet in here to start some real studying, I need some background noise.." Knowing this was just a lie that he made to himself, he shrugged it off and dipped the quill into the ink, "I'll just draw for a little, just to loosen up." He began to slowly sketch out a castle just slightly offset to the left upper side of the parchment. "Home.." he quietly muttered to himself. He continued with his new creation, finishing the outline of the castle, and then forming a mountain holding the castle in its place, (which earlier was floating in mid-air). "Just add a tree here... some more rocks.." he slowly began to see his creation look more and more like home really appeared.. Taking a little mini break from his not so mini break of school work, he let out a quiet sigh and stared at the floor.

Girty was placing some books back onto the shelves when out the corner of her eye she saw someone she had never seen before. But due to the lack of concentration she pushed the book to hard causing the whole book case to shift back wards. He reys grew wide as she thought was what might happen. She ran to the other side trying to keep it up right only to cause the other the move as well. She sighed knowing what could happen so decided to turn her back on the wobbling bookcases and sat down by the Slytherin. "Hello there. I'm Girty pleased to meet you." She held out her hand with a smile.

As Draven stared at the floor he noticed a hand being jetted towards him and a girl greet him. Barely looking up, making sure not to make eye contact he mumbled, "Hi, I'm Draven..." and gave a slight smile and weak handshake. "Having trouble with the bookshelves?" he asked quietly while gazing past her and noticing the still swaying bookshelfs.

Girty noticed the boys disinterests but decided not for that to put her off. "O those silly things. We have a habit of knocking each other over." She nodded and looked back over her shoulder to make sure very thing was still standing.
"Nice drawing by the way. Better then anything i can do."

After her reply Draven noticed that he might be coming of as rude, so he looked up at her and gave her a real smile. "I know the feeling.. you know.. of running into things. At home I had tendency to always run into this same suit of armour. Pretty sure it did it on purpose, haha, but you know how that works..." Watching Girty as she stood beside him Draven began to notice the humor in the situation and laughed to himself a little but then became a little more serious. "You shouldn't say that you cant do it, drawing that it. It's easy really.. I can show you sometime if you want...?" Quickly Draven jerked his head downwards and began to stare at the table, bracing himself for the rejection he was about to experience.

With a smile Girty nodded. "That would be fantastic, it would be very kind of you."
She reached for her bag and pulled out parchment and a quill. "I'm ready to learn. For once."

Suprised at her acception of his offer Draven sat up straight and looked at her. He pulled out the chair next to him for Girty and prepared to explain. "Have you ever done any drawing at all?" he questioned and gave a slight smile.

Girty sat down in the chair and looked at Draven wondering how to answer to his question. "Well i know how to draw stick people and i once drew a shoe. Other wise, no not really."
She slumped down in her chair and waited for her first instructions.

Trying not to laugh at her reply Draven began to give his instruction. "Well, first you can't slumping. Not necessarily a drawing instruction, just good manners." he said staring at her slumped body. "Second, you need to just think of something that you want to draw, anything in particuliar?" he asked questioningly watching her, looking into her eyes.

Girty shot up with a straight back and looked back at Draven. She blinked at him as she thought. "General Pablo." She nodded at the thought. "My toy solider." Reaching into her pocket she pulled out the rest of the army and laid them on the table.

Having no other choice, Draven laughed at Girtys reaction to his first instruction. "Don't worry about it, I slump when no ones watching." he said quietly giving a slight smile along with a wink. Grabbing a few of the toy soldiers he looked at them with curiousity. "Hmmm... I see." he said "Not many girls play with toy soldiers, right?" he questioned. "I think thats very cool. Now which one is General Pablo?" he asked while staring into her eyes and waited for her reply.

Girty looked down in sadness. The thought of General Pablo made her sad. "He was lost on the way to potions. I miss him dearly." She fell silent in his memory. Then looked up. "he looks a lot like Damon" she said pointing out the toy.

Unsure of how to react to the reply Girty gave, Draven sat silent for a few moments and then grabbed the toy Damon. Looking at it he wondered why she wanted to draw a toy soldier out of everything she could have picked. "So why such close ties with the soldiers...?" Draven questioned. Looking closely at the toy, Draven slowly began to outline the figure on his parchment.

Girty giggled, she could tell Draven was a bit surprised with her choice and wondered how to describe the connection. "Their muggle toys which my brother and I use to play with when we were smaller. If they fell out of rank we would melt them as a punishment. That only happened once though." Girty stopped and went off into a sort of dream. but then noticed that Draven was drawing, so stopped and had a look.

Peering up at Girty, Draven laughed at her daydreamy reply. "Well, as with anything you dont produce the final first thing. Almost like writing a speech, first you want to outline everything you say. So when I draw, I outline everything that I want to appear. Starting with the main parts." Watching her Draven knew already that he was going to over explain himself and probably annoy the hell out of anyone who might over hear and Girty as well. "start with what you want to show the most.. the outline of General Pablo is a good start."
