Carrie was sat on the usual chair, on the usual table, in the usual corner of the library. She pulled out a book from her bag, and eagerly began to read. It was only moments before she fully engrossed in the book, hardly taking notice of anything in her surroundings.
Suddenly, she felt like eyes were staring in the back of her head, and she slowly turned round to meet the eyes of someone across the room. She gave a polite small smile, as they came walking in her direction.

As Brian was walking two people walked into him. He got very angry and told them to move it.

Carrie nearly toppled over when someone came colliding into her. She scowled when she heard them telling her to 'move it', and spun around to face them looking angry. She opened her mouth to retort, when she saw who it was.. the Head Boy.. she shook her head - it would be a losing battle.

Deb frowned as she regained her balance and heard the Slytherin speak. That Gryffindor girl only looked like a second year or so, and he was Head Boy! Fair? Um, no.
"Take it easy, Chase," she said calmly, raising one eyebrow and truning her attention to the girl. "Are you okay?"

'Yeah fine.' Carrie said whilst pulling her cloak straight - she had to bite her lip to stop herself from blurting No thanks to him. She gave the "Chase" boy a final glare before turning her attention back to the perfect who had helped her, giving her a grateful smile.

Professor Moncrieff came up behind Chase, grabbing him by the scruff of his robe and pulling him away from the others. "You may have gotten away with using that sort of language before, Slytherin, but not now that I'm teaching here. Now since it's the beginning of the year I won't subtract points, but be warned that I will not hesitate to take your house into negatives if it happens again. Do you understand?"

Carrie grinned as she watched the Head boy walk away with a scowl. She added a note of thanks to the teacher, before noticing the look of loneliness on Chase's face. Maybe there was more to him than meets the eye.

Deb stopped by the Slytherin's table and dropped a piece of paper next to him. "You dropped this," she said by way of explanation, having caught a glimpse of the photo he had been holding. Who was that guy? He looked kind of like Chase, and there was some definite cuteness there... hold on. She added up her last sentence, blushed, and fled back to sit by Carrie.
