Helia sat at the Ravenclaw table, head in hands. This was the only place she had been able to find that was quiet enough for her to think. She heard a squeak and reached around into her book bag, pulling out the small creature she had been trying to keep hidden for so long, "You know," she said to the creature, still keeping it hidden from view with her hands, "Now is one of those times when I think I should've let the sorting hat do what it wanted with me. Then this would be expected..." she sighed, feeling the sting of tears at her eyes. "I swear I'm the stupidest Ravenclaw I've ever known of..." she shook her head. "If I could go back in time and change all of this I would... or would I?" she thought about this. If she had the choice, would she really want to change all of her mistakes? Right now she did. Right now she wished that she hadn't let Kim keep the necklace they found at the lake, or that she had been paying attention better in the Astronomy tower; she wished that she had never learned the Exdamentia spell, or at least not tried to conjure the creature that she now held in her hands, or have made sure that she had a better plan for the room of requirement so that Draco wouldn't be in the infirmary at that very moment. She wished that she had the guts to tell Brian to his face that she liked him, but most of all right then, she wished that she hadn't introduced her brother to Belinda...

Fin walked into the Great Hall with a behemoth of a book in his hands. The only reason he had come here to read was that there were way too many people in the library at the moment. He was about to start reading when he noticed Halo, looking sad. "Hey babe, something wrong?" he asked.

"Something?! Try everything..." she groaned. "Have you ever had a week where everything you did was wrong? Or you meant to do something good, but then it turned out wrong? And even when you tried to fix it everything just got worse? Well, then welcome to my life." she rolled her eyes. "I just, I wish I could change some of the things I've done recently..."

"May I ask what things you've done that are so horrible?"

"Using an unforgiveable curse on Kim, even though it was an accident and she was posessed; Letting Kim have the necklace that posessed her in the first place, experimenting with the exdamentia spell, introducing my brother to that veela chick, cursing Malf-" she covered her mouth with one hand, hoping that Fin wouldn't notice her slip, but doing that revealed the little creature she had been trying to hide. "Oh, Merlin..." she closed her eyes, waiting for Fin to gasp, or scream, or run and tell a teacher about it.

((ooc: oh! cool!))
Fin looked at the strange mouse-like creature. "Whoa, cool! What do you call that thing?" he said, forgetting what she started to say about Malfoy.

She coughed slightly, "An accident. It probably should have a name, like fluttermouse or rodentfly or some-such... I've kind of been hoping it would disappear though and I wouldn't have to worry about it..."

"Why don't you just use the Banishka spell to get rid of it?" he asked.

She bit her lip, "I can't. I was trying to figure out how to make the Exdamentia's real because someday I want to start my own unique pet shop with animals noone else has... Well, my theory worked..." she frowned. "It was probably just a one time thing, I mean, the Professor said it was all about luck anyhow... I probably just got lucky but... Well, look." she aimed her wand at the creature and said "Banishka."...nothing happened. "What's worse is..." she held out a peanut and the little animal started munching greedily on it.

"So wait, does it ever stop eating, or is it hungry all the time?"

"It stops eating, but that fact that it needs to eat at all is..." she shrugged. "Well, normal for a living animal, not for an Exdamentia. I mean... This is what was trying for but... I know that if any of the Professors find out..." she tried to stop her thoughts there, but she had been thinking about what would happen ever since she created the little mouse.

"I think we should talk to one of the professors...maybe even the headmistress...yeah, probably Wigglyfish should see this," he said, thinking.

"But what if they try to hurt her? I mean, she is a living creature and they might want to study her or perform tests on her and..." she sighed. She knew that none of the people here would do that. "You're right Fin. Someone should know... I just don't know that I can really trust any of the teachers here with something like this."
