"I'm excited. I'm already getting to study a little bit about my preferred profession, and I'm so excited!" she laughed. "What about you? It's one year away, what are your plans?"

Alana sighed "Well... I really want to be an Auror but... since I'm a vampire... I doubt that's going to happen" she replied bitterly

[Helia Ollivander]

"And why not? Far as I know the ministry isn't prejudiced about that sort of thing... though I could be sincerely mistaken..." she sighed, "Ah, well. I hope you get to become one anyways. Perhaps you'll be the first part vampire auror. Wouldn't that be cool?"

Alana sighed once more "Yeah it would be... too bad it's never going to happen" she muttered darkly. She was beginning to feel in a bad mood

She raised an eyebrow, "Well that line of thought sure isn't gonna make it happen." she said making a face. "If you love something you have to work for it, hun. Do your best, and then work harder to make that better. The ministry won't turn you down just because of your family if you're an upstanding member of the wizarding community, and since I know you are, the only problem after that passing your exams and proving you're good enough."

Alana smiled. "You really think so?" she asked

"Think? Hah! I know so, hun. I love the idea of wand making, so I'm putting my mind to it and trying to get the Headmistress to allow me the privilege of making wands on campus, or at least trying to make wands... Not sure how it'll turn out but I have to try."
